I will use this software for its selection tool capabilities. I will need to cut out real-life objects such as buildings, people, and signs. The images I cut out will then be added alongside the hand-drawn features in my animation. I also plan to use Photoshop to enhance the image quality of some backgrounds.
Illustrator Artifact
Illustrator will be used to draw out individual characters, foreground features, and background features in each scene.
In Design Artifact
I will use InDesign to create visuals that can be used for specific scenes. Scenes that require characters to hold pamphlets or scenes that show particular signs. I also plan to use InDesign to create some of the aesthetics for my website.
Animate Artifact
Animate will be used, of course, to bring my series to life. I plan to make my characters walk, talk, express themselves, and interact with their environment. I will also create animations for my foreground and background.
Audacity Artifact
I will be doing all the voice-overs for the first episode, so I will be using Audacity to review, fine-tune, and export my audio files. This is an example of the character falling into a void.
After Effects Artifact
After Effects will mainly be used once I have a scene completed. I want to use certain filters and video effects on specific moments during a specific scene. For example, if a character is mad, I’ll put a red glow as a filter for 3 seconds.
Extra Artifact
This is showing the write up for the descriptions of my scenes for episode 1 and this is showing how it will play out.
Extra Artifact
My last artifact will be the logo I created for my short animation. The font was drawn on Illustrator and then refined with Photoshop. I used Illustrator to create curves and shapes, and then Photoshop to decide on the gradient and color codes.
